Colonels celebrate a walk-off win

Wilkes University heads down to West Lawn this weekend May 4th, to play for the Middle Athletic Conference (MAC) Freedom crown. The playoff appearance is the first for the Colonels since 2009.

Wilkes (17-15; 12-8 MAC) comes into the tournament as the third seed behind DeSales (27-13; 17-4 MAC), Misericordia (27-11; 17-4 MAC). King’s (20-14; 12-9) is the fourth and final seed in the tournament.

The MAC Freedom tournament is a double-elimination tournament with every game playing the full nine innings at Owls Field in West Lawn, Pennsylvania. The schedule according to GoMACsports is as follows:

 

Friday

                 Game 1— DeSales vs King’s, 4:00 p.m.

                 Game 2— Misericordia vs Wilkes, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday

                 Game 3— G1 Winner vs G2 Winner, 11:00 a.m.

                 Game 4— G1 Loser vs G2 Loser, 3:00 p.m.

                 Game 5— G3 Loser vs G4 Winner, 7:30 p.m.

Sunday

                 Game 6— G3 Winner vs G5 Winner, 12:00 p.m.

                 Game 7— (if necessary), 3:00 p.m.
