Moving onto the winter slate of games, it was a memorable season for the multiple teams competing. A few squads went far in the Landmark playoffs, and for one partiuclar team, a trip to the NCAA tournament came as well.
Men’s Basketball – Vin Santoro

Men’s basketball, led by Coach Izzi Metz, rallied the players this season with 11 conference victories, including wins over #21 Scranton and eventual #1-ranked Catholic in the Landmark playoffs on the road. Lucas Lesko was named First Team All-Region for the second straight time; Jack Argento surpassed 1000 career points following his 18 points against the Cardinals. Eli Becker was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma honors society for his outstanding work in the classroom.
Women’s Basketball – Jake Mills

Women’s Basketball saw improvements this 2025-26 season after a winless season in 2024. The Colonels won 5 games which included wins over Landmark opponents Goucher and Juniata. Senior guard Yamirelis Matos was the team’s leading scorer this season finishing with 299 total points. Sophomore Forward Maliyah Warren finished second behind Matos with 296 points. The Colonels as well as Head Coach Al Berger will look to keep building on these wins heading into the offseason.
Men’s Hockey – Andrew Marshallsay

It was another big year for the men’s hockey team as they reached the MAC tournament semifinals for the season season in a row. The team went 12-7-2 in conference play, at times with some up-and-down play. Towards the end of the season, The Colonels took some massive strides as they swept their final four regular-season contests.
Despite a strong finish, the Colonels were bested by Stevenson in the MAC tournament, and look towards the offseason as they look to get back to the top of the conference. After the conclusion of the season, players — Jack Lee, Patrick Roginski, Cam Lowe and Matt Carlson all turned pro as they signed in the Southern Professional Hockey League.
Women’s Hockey – Andrew Marshallsay
The best team in program history took to the ice this season, as Wilkes women’s hockey earned their first NCAA tournament. A dominant regular season saw the Colonels lose their first MAC game of the season, then go on to win their next 20. Wilkes grabbed a sweep in the MAC tournament, outscoring Alvernia and Arcadia 9-0. The dynamic duo of Nina Hudakova and Haylee Bouchard exploded on offense, breaking records galore. The Colonels finished in eighth place in the USCHO Division III poll after the season’s conclusion.
Men’s Swimming – Jake Mills
The Men’s Swim Team broke many school records at the ECAC championships this past winter. The 200m relay medley team broke a school record finishing with a time of 1:38.27. The team consisted of Ashton Dainty, Jacob Piotrowski, Maximilian Wilson, and Owen Lewis. Max Johnson also beat his own school record in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:14.48 Overall on the season, the Colonels finished 9-4 and finished sixth out of 10 teams in the Landmark Championship tournament.
Women’s Swimming – Vin Santoro
Women’s swimming ended their season with a record of 6-7. The team finished third in the Electric City Invitational at Scranton and swept their cross-town rival, Kings, 174-58 and 162-40. The ladies competed all year and had some great accomplishments. Bryan Ullerich, Grace Cobb, Izzy Sparaco, and Meghan Sandt were named 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District. Freshman Emma Miller won Diver of the Year and the Landmark All-Conference First Team. She is the first athlete in program history to be awarded these two honors.
Men’s Wrestling – Vin Santoro
Men’s Wrestling had another successful year with three players being inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma award: Buck Miller, Connor Sklavounos and Jackson Brady. Gus Smith and Trevor Gitski were announced as their Scholar All-American awards for the 2026 season. Gus becomes the first freshman since Cameron Butka to win this award. Gitski also finished fifth in this year’s regional championship.
Women’s Wrestling – Topher DellaBella
The women’s wrestling team had their first season in program history. The program ended its first team season with a record of 4-7 going up against competition like Misericordia, Cedar Crest, Ursinus and many more. After the regular season wrapped up, the team competed at their first NCAA Regional tournament finishing at 10th place. The Colonels also had three top-six finishers Grace Riley, Milly Hughes, and Carina Rivera who all placed sixth at the tournament.
