Wilkes Men’s Lacrosse is ready to get back on the field for another season. In the 2026 Landmark Conference men’s lacrosse preseason poll, Wilkes was ranked 9th after having a record of 4-13 in the 2025 season with a record of 1-8 in the conference.
Despite the low ranking and the record from last season, the Colonels are ready to compete. Returners Stone Sosnovik, Austin Sosnovik, Tim Hartka, Caleb Miller, Anthony DiFrancesco, and Drue McLean are some players to watch this season with their leadership and the way they compete on the field.
Head coach Jordan Drumheller is very optimistic about this upcoming season–his first at the helm.
“The guys have been working hard all preseason to get prepared for the 2026 season,” Drumheller said. “I am excited to see what this team can accomplish.”
Drumheller expects nothing more from his players than to compete in every game and to play hard for 60 minutes. The coach’s goals for this season include showing improvement every game, limiting mistakes, and winning every game.
The Colonels will play a total of eight games, five away games and three home games, before getting into Landmark conference play.
The team plays in its first contest today, when they travel to Delaware Valley University to take on the Aggies.
The first home game the Colonels will play is on Mar. 11 when they face off against cross-town rivals King’s College. The Colonels will open up their Landmark Conference on Mar. 21 when they take on Juniata.
