Danville 28, Milton 17
After an early scare, the Danville Ironmen won 28-17 over Milton. After a scoreless first quarter, Milton scored the first points of the game with just under 10 minutes left until halftime.
The Black Panthers took a 7-0 lead after Monty Fisher ran for an 80+ yard touchdown with 9:45 until the end of the half. Louis Williams hit a field goal to put Milton up 10-0 with 6:28 left in the second frame.
Danville drove all the way down to the 1 and Mason Kingery scored to make it 10-7 at the half. The Ironmen kept that momentum going into the second half.
Carter Raup scored on Danville’s opening drive and they took the lead 14-10 with 8:20 to go in the third. Fisher got Milton back up with another strong touchdown run to make it 17-14 Milton, 3:17 left in the quarter.
Raup scored another to give Danville the 21-17 lead, then Old Dominion commit Landon Kehoe scored to make it 28-17 with 5:45 left.
Milton couldn’t regain the momentum and the Danville Ironmen would get the win 28-17. Danville improves to 2-3 and will travel to Southern Columbia next week. Milton falls to 1-4 and travels to Mifflinburg next week
Lake Lehman 56, Holy Redeemer 6
Lake-Lehman won big against Holy Redeemer 56-6 on Sept. 20.
Jaydon Skipalis had 2 touchdowns and scored his first less than a minute into the game.
Devon Albee, Anthony Magnotta, Chris Yetter, Alex Smith and Jesse Strenfel also had scores for the Black Knights in the contest. With 6:28 left in the first quarter, it was already 21-0 in favor of the Black Knights
After a long drive stalled by penalties, the Royals Brady McDermott aired one out to Lucas Shrader to get Holy Redeemer on the board with 55 seconds to go in the opening frame
This would be their only score of the night as Lehman’s run game continued to dominate. Lake-Lehman (2-3) takes on Nanticoke this week while Holy Redeemer (1-4) faces off against Holy Cross in the NEPA edition of the “Holy War.”
