After the first two weeks of action packed football, the National Football League (NFL) season is already in its third week, highlighted by some great matchups, week three is bound to be another great one.
The first game of the week is on Thursday, Sept. 18, where the Miami Dolphins will face the Bills. Known for stars like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Tua Tagovailova, the Dolphins take on last season’s MVP Josh Allen and a hot Buffalo team. I personally think the Bills are the better team in this game with their mobile offense and their explosive defense, so I will pick the Bills to win this game.
The next games on Sunday, Sept. 21, start with the Cincinnati Bengals facing the Minnesota Vikings. This will be a great game with a battle of three former college teammates from Louisiana State University. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Jamarr Chase will be facing their former college wide receiver Justin Jefferson. This should definitely be a great matchup, but I think the Bengals will walk away with the victory.
Next are the Houston Texans who are led by their star quarterback, C.J. Stroud against the Jacksonville Jaguars with their star two-way rookie and Heisman trophy winner, Travis Hunter. I think the Texans will win this game. This is an easy pick for me. Of course Hunter has stood out for the Jaguars, but Stroud and his receivers will outweigh one player.
Next up is the Tennessee Titans and their rookie quarterback, Cam Ward, against the Indianapolis Colts and their star players, running back Johnathan Taylor, and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.. I think the Colts will win this game. They are just the better team in this situation.
Next, we have the Las Vegas Raiders with their defensive veteran, Maxx Crosby, and last year’s Heisman runner up, Ashton Jeanty, against the Washington Commanders with quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel. I think that Washington will win this game. Again, it comes down to who’s the better team.
Next up, the Los Angeles Rams will face the Philadelphia Eagles’ super-team consisting of quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Saquon Barkley, and wide receivers Devonta Smith and A.J. Brown. The Eagles are favored to win this game and I couldn’t agree more.
Next, the Atlanta Falcons and their star running back, Bijan Robinson, will face the Carolina Panthers led by their quarterback, Bryce Young. I think that the Falcons are the better team and will win this game.
Next up, the Pittsburgh Steelers with their newly acquired quarterback, Aaron Rodgers will face quarterback Drake Maye and the New England Patriots. It’s hard to tell who will win this game, but I will go with the Steelers.
Next, quarterback Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers will face defensive end Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns. The Packers have had a great season so far, so I will pick them to beat the Browns.
Next up, star cornerback Sauce Gardner and the New York Jets will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by their quarterback Baker Mayfield. I’ll take Tampa Bay to win this game.
Later, the Denver Broncos take on the Los Angeles Chargers. For this game, I think the Chargers will win.
Next we have the New Orleans Saints facing the Seattle Seahawks with their star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. I think the Seahawks will win this game.
Next, receiver Ceedee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys will face Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears. I think that the Cowboys will win this game.
Next up, the San Francisco 49ers with quarterback Brock Purdy and running back Christian McCaffrey will face the Arizona Cardinals led by quarterback Kyler Murray. I think that the 49ers will leave victorious against Arizona.
For Sunday Night Football, the New York Giants will take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Many people say that the Giants have the best defensive line in the league with stars like Dexter Lawrence, Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Abdul Carter. However, the Giants lack in the secondary, and they haven’t been good for quite some time. Expect Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs to take the win.
Finally, on Monday , Sept. 22, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Detroit Lions take on the Baltimore Ravens and their stacked offense led by quarterback Lamar Jackson. This will be a really good matchup between two really good teams, but I think that the Ravens will win this game.
It will surely be a fantastic week of football here in Week Three. With tough matchups ahead for multiple teams, the league’s best superstars will battle it out as the NFL continues it’s early part of the 2025 season.
