Finding themselves down by two touchdowns with just over 10 minutes until halftime, the Wyoming Area Warriors needed a score, and badly.
Lakeland got the scoring started after quarterback David Naniewicz ran in the first score himself on a tush push. He later aired one out from 21 yards to find Chase Rosenkrans to grab the second touchdown of the night for the Chiefs.
Wyoming Area’s pass game looked very off early in this game as the Warriors couldn’t really do much of anything. However, with 8:20 left till halftime quarterback Jack Gravine would get the 45 yard touchdown run to put the Warriors on the board.
By the time the game reached its halfway point. Nick Ciampi ran in another touchdown to make it 14-13 Lakeland. A fluke play on the extra point led to Luke Kopetchny hauling in a 2 point conversion to give Wyoming Area a 15-14 lead with 2:22 left until halftime.
Wyoming Area set up for a field goal on the last play of the half, but Kopetchny took the snap and aired it out to Donovan Miller for another Warrior touchdown and they would lead 22-14 at the half.
They would keep this momentum going into the 2nd half, A high snap on a punt would lead to a safety making it 24-14 Warriors.
With 7:03 left in the third quarter, Gravine ran in another touchdown from 23 yards out to make it 31-14 Wyoming Area. Josh Mruk would also chip in on the fun from 50 yards out.
