Maggie Allen was chosen as Athlete of the Week after her first collegiate goal sealed the victory over Alvernia. She recorded 177 minutes in her first three collegiate games.
What is the reason you started playing soccer?
I’ve been playing since I was three years old, but playing it at Wilkes is because it’s my thing, it’s my fun, I enjoy it. It’s my way of exercising, it’s a way to get my mind off things.
How do you see your soccer future?
I don’t think I’d take it on a professional stage, but I’d join a league. Something to keep my foot on the ball. Maybe even coaching.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My dad, he has his own business and he never gave up, which is how I feel too with soccer.
What’s your favorite sports team?
Gotham FC. My mom and I go see their games all the time.
What are your goals for this semester?
Play a lot, I really enjoy it. Keep working hard and have a lot of fun.

What’s been the highlight of this season so far?
Taking home the Mayor’s cup.
How did you feel playing against Kings for the Mayor’s cup?
It’s an amazing feeling to put on for your team like that.
How do you motivate yourself before a big game?
I like to calm myself down and lock into the moment.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Before every game I listen to The Boys of Fall by Kenny Chesney.
Who is your role model?
My dad. His work ethic just rubs off on me and I’m trying to work just as hard as him.
What’s your favorite sports team?
I’m a huge Phillies fan.
How do you see your future in Football?
I’d definitely love to go into coaching and give back to the community at some point.

I’m stoked, I mean we’re ready to go.
