FYF Food Drive

The FYF class, Urban Plunge, is sponsoring a food drive every Tuesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., in the Henry Student Center.  Donations can be dropped off at the Civic Engagement Office. Items will be delivered to the First Baptist Church on River Street and to the St. Vincent DePaul soup kitchen. Please direct any questions to Megan Valkenburg at [email protected].

Colleges Against Cancer Fundraiser at Friendly’s

Support Colleges Against Cancer: Relay for Life by coming out to Friendly’s Restaurant Nov. 20. Bring the voucher and 20% of your bill will be donated to the organization. Vouchers can be found around campus or can be printed out.

 

Wilkes University Bands Make History, Play First Ever Concert Together on Nov. 22

On Nov. 22 all three Wilkes University band ensembles will perform together for the first time at Wilkes University Band Night. The Jazz Orchestra, The Civic Band and The Marching Colonels present an evening of big band jazz, concert band and marching band music at 7 p.m. in the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public.

Dining Services Semester Survey
Take the Wilkes Dining online survey, link found in the WilkesToday emails.  One student will be selected to win a fee FitBit Flex. Wilkes Dining strives to provide an exceptional and innovative dining experience for all members of the Wilkes University Community and wants to hear feedback. At the end of the survey students will be asked to enter their contact information for the drawing.

Attention: Pre-Pharmacy Students

There will be a pre-pharmacy panel discussion on Nov. 18, from 12-1 p.m. in SLC 166. This is the time that pre-pharmacy students can ask students in pharmacy school anything they want from classes to PCATs to intern hours to extracurricular activities. Pizza will be provided. So, if you are a pre-pharmacy major, feel free to come, eat food, and ask any questions you want!
