Weckesser Hall re-dedicated for administrative purpose

On May 14, President Patrick Leahy invited members of the campus community to a reception at the newly-renovated Weckesser Hall. During the past year, the historic building in the heart of campus has undergone an extensive renovation for the building to house the president and members of his central administration.

The reception was preceded by a presentation by University Archivist Harold Cox on the history of Weckesser Hall, which was named in honor of Frederick and Anna Weckesser who built the building between 1914 and 1916.

“The renovation turned out beautifully and it brings the central administration back to the heart of campus in one of our signature buildings,” Leahy said of the newly-renovated Weckesser Hall.
