The snow may still be falling, but it’s never too cold to support a good cause, which is exactly what’s happening on Jan. 31. Join the Special Olympics Pennsylvania team at Montage Mountain as they host their annual Polar Plunge benefit.
Anyone can sign up to participate, either as a team or an individual and fundraise to support the cause.
The event will be held from 12-4 p.m. with the actual plunge beginning at 2:30 p.m. Even if you’re not participating in the chilling Polar Plunge event, there are still fun activities to participate in including a dance party, food and games.
All proceeds and fundraised money will be given to the Special Olympics as well as “vital programming for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the community” as stated on the official Polar Plunge website. So far, the program has raised $72,906 of their $130,000 goal.
It’s not too late to register or fundraise, just head to plungepa.org, go to the tab ‘Find Your Plunge’ and click on view details for Northeast, Montage Mountain, January 31, 2026.
