Campus gets spooky for ‘Freak Week’

Campus+gets+spooky+for+Freak+Week

Halloween is just around the corner, as kids are ravaging their parents pocket’s or their

own pockets to buy the scariest or most original costume for trick or treating or if grabbing over one hundred rolls of toilet

paper does the job then so be it.

However, it is not hard to find a taste of the spirit here at

Wilkes, especially since Programming Board has it all taken care of.

Returning idea from last year will surly make the campus feel spooky and fun.

Dominic Rinaldi who is Programming Board’s small events chairperson said, “We have a load of ideas planned and many themes that are certain to be quite the scare.”

Students have already had a taste of “Freak week,” with the haunted house on Monday

Oct. 27 and Lazer Tag in the Greenway the following day.  However, “Freak week” isn’t over,

especially with the rest of week at disposal.

On Wed., Oct. 29 Programming Board is hosting a movie night in the

ballroom from 4 p.m. to midnight where snacks and refreshments will be served. Movie choices

were between two choices, but “The Purge 2: Anarchy” won the vote. It is to note that timing reservation for movie night is be subject to change.

Thursday is dedicated to the traditional pumpkin decorating in the SUB lounge from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be decorating contests for different themes with small prizes.

A perfect way to send off for Halloween which is conveniently on a Friday this year.

Programming board is expecting a large turn-out for scary week, making sure not to frighten the campus too much.
