AOTW: Marissa Surdy, senior field hockey player

Why Marissa Surdy was selected: Marissa Surdy posted a hat trick against Widener on Oct. 11. Her third goal of the evening came in dramatic fashion as she dribbled through the defense into the circle to net the overtime game winner. Surdy also moved into second place on the school’s all time-goals list with 49. Surdy also tallied an assist in a Oct. 14 game against Manhattanville. Congratulations, Marissa!

Marissa Surdy Senior Field Hockey Player

What head coach Sara Myers said: “Marissa has been a key player for us in the last four years.  Marissa is very hard to defend in the attacking 25 with her dynamic stick skills and ball speed.  She is a great team player and she sets her teammates up beautifully.  I can’t wait to see what she and the team can accomplish as we are in the middle of our importance conference schedule. “
