Celebrate Diwali with the Indian Culture Association
Celebrate the Festival of Lights with the Indian Culture Association on Saturday, Nov. 9. Free food will be provided and dance performances will be held.
The celebration will take place in the Henry Student Center Ballroom with the Mocktail hour starting at 6 p.m. and the main event beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Join the Sports Management Club for a Trip to Baltimore
The Sports Management Club will take a trip to Baltimore to visit both M&T Bank Stadium (Ravens) and Oriole Park at Camden Yards (Orioles) on Nov. 22.
The trip is open to all Wilkes students. The cost is $5. Participating students will meet behind the Henry Student Center at 6:30 a.m. to leave for the trip and return to Wilkes at 6:30 p.m.
Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to commit is Monday, Nov. 11 and the deadline for payment is Thursday, Nov. 14.
Spring Parking Applications Are Available
Commuter and resident parking permit applications for the spring 2020 semester began online on Nov. 1. All returning students must apply.
Students interested in a Ralston permit should note their preference in the comments on the online application.
The deadline for application submission is 3 p.m. on Dec. 16. The applications will not reopen once they are closed. Any application received after the deadline will not be submitted for review.
Globalize Your Thanksgiving
Take the opportunity to share an American holiday with someone from a foreign culture by inviting one or two international students to your Thanksgiving dinner.

Catherine H. Bone Lecture in Chemistry Scheduled for Nov. 6
Henry J. Pownall, Ph.D., professor of biochemistry at Weiss Cornell Medicine and a scientist at Houston Methodist Research Institute, will deliver the Catherine H. Bone Lecture in Chemistry at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Stark Learning Center, Room 101.
Pownall will speak about “Cardioprotection via High Density Lipoprotein Therapy—From Biophysics to Mouse Models.”
