The Student Government meeting on April 23 was called to order at 6:00 p.m

Treasurer’s Report:

All College: $2,867.67

Conferences:

Club Reports

  • Autism Speaks: Have done restaurant fundraisers, a T-shirt fundraiser; raised close to $600; Applebee’s Flapjack fundraiser raised about $300; participated in the Big Event for community service.
  • Art Club: Sold Valentine’s Day cards in February; did a mural planning meeting to paint a mural in the Henry Student Center with funding from the Class of 2013; 35.5 hours was put into mural for community service.

    • Christian Giovannini nominates Anthony Fanucci for his work on the Freshman Class social and fundraisers; Samantha Bickert seconds the nomination.
    • Daniel Rembish nominates Adam Bailey for his work on Casino Night; Melissa Caprio seconds the nomination.
    • Melissa Caprio nominates John Sweeney and Meribeth Derkach for their hard work on Senior Class activities; Amber Konopka seconds the nomination.
    • John Sweeney nominates Julie Miller for her work on Capital Projects and the Big Event; Taylor Moyer seconds the nomination.

  • General Board Acceptance of Positions
    • All elected members accept their positions.
  • Voting Meeting Time
    • Olivia Questore makes a motion to keep Student Government meeting times on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m.; Keri Diehl seconds and the motion passes 20-9-1.
  • Retreat Funding
    • Ian Foley discusses having a retreat with a budget of $800
    • Taylor Moyer motions to allocate $800 for the Student Government Retreat; Samantha Earley seconds and the motion passes with a hand vote.

Committees:

  • Capital Projects Chairwoman Julie Miller announces the purchase getting silver and tan vans.
  • Vans Committee Head John Sweeney announces that Christian Victoria will be taking over as head of the committee next year.
