Public Safety reported that three students were walking on Academy Street returning from A-Plus Mart at 11:40 p.m. last night when one of them was approached by a man driving a green Geo Tracker with pin stripes. The driver asked for money and verbally threatened the student. A gun was visible in the driver’s lap but was never pointed at the student. The student wasn’t hurt and did not lose any valuables. Wilkes-Barre Police has received other reports about the same vehicle from other individuals not associated with Wilkes.
